Backlash Predictions
Hello everyone and welcome to the 8th edition of Junk is Blogged! Thanks for checking out my blog and if you enjoy it [who would'nt], then tell a freind about it. I really love doing this blog and hope all of you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy writing it. Zach- Mick Foley's new book Hardcore Diaries is a must read as I said in my last entry, for any true wrestling fan. The book goes in depth as Mick talks about his storyline ideas, and promo ideas. He tells very interesting and sometimes funny stories of different times he's spent with the Divas and Superstars, talks about his time in Iraq, and even talks about his decision to almost go to TNA. Keep in mind this is a WWE book and they let him talk about TNA! He holds nothing back and it is a must read for any Mick Foley fan also. Now as you all know [or at least you should] Backlash is coming up this Sunday and if the matches on the card are any indication of how the show will be, it should be a awesome night! So now, as I promised, here are my WWE Backlash predictions: Chris Benoit vs. MVP For the WWE United States Championship: This should be a very good match as these two seem to mesh together really well! I used to hate MVP but the man has proved himself to be a impact player. I would like to see Benoit keep it but I see MVP winning his first WWE title. Junk's Pick:MVP. The Hardy Boys vs. Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch For the World Tag Team Championship: Junk's Pick:With out a doubt this one goes to The Hardys. Melina vs. Mickie James For the WWE Womens Championship: These two women can wrestle and this should be a good match. I am hoping for a Mickie win and guess what- Junk's Pick:Mickie James! Bobby Lashley vs. Mr. McMahon, Shane McMahon, and Umaga In a 3 on 1 match for the ECW Championship:It's 3 on 1 but there is no stopping... Junk's Pick:Bobby Lashley. The Undertaker vs. Batista In a Last Man Standing match for the World Heavyweight Championship:This should be an excellent match! But who will win? Honestly I am not sure, but I have to pick so.... Junk's Pick:The Undertaker. I know the person I mentioned earlier in this post, Zach, will not be happy with that pick! And now it is time for the main event: John Cena vs. Randy Orton vs. Shawn Michales vs. Edge In a Fatal 4 Way Match for the WWE Championship:My Gosh this should be an awesome match! I really want HBK to win this and become the new WWE Champion but..... Junk's Pick:John Cena still Champ. There you have it my Backlash predictions! Hope you enjoyed my blog and I would love to hear you guys Backlash predictions. Don't forget WWE Baclash is Live this Sunday On PPV! Until next time: I'm Junk and you have just been Blogged!

What Makes A Great Talker
What makes a professional wrestler? His athleticism? His charisma? His mic skills? All of these qualities makes a professional wrestler. But in this particular blog entry I want to discuss one of these qualities: Mic skills. What makes a great "talker"? That is exactly what I am going to tell you. A great talker makes you hate him or love him with a passion. A great talker tells you a story before his match has even begun. When you here Dusty Rhodes tell you that he's a son of a plumber and living the American Dream you beleive in him and beleive you to can live the American Dream. One of the greatest talkers of all time in my humble opinion is The Rock. His interveiws could go on for hours and the fans would chant; Rocky! Rocky! "The Great One" has given some of the most amazing interveiws in Professional Wrestling history. In fact he even made stars out of The Coach, and Lillian Garcia, who both used to be backstage interveiwers. You guys remember some of his catchphrases: It Does'nt matter what your name is! Know your role and shut your mouth! Just Bring It! And of course: If ya Smelllll What The Rock is Cookin! Ric Flair may be the best talker of all time. He told you he was better than you, and you knew it! He was one of the first wrestlers to wear flashy clothes and be flamboyant and is also one of the greatest wrestlers of all time. Everybody wanted to be Flair. Fastforward to 2007 and look at some of the new Superstars who can talk. John Cena: I may get flooded with comments about how Cena sucks and all of that crap, but I do not know how, whether you like him or not, you could think John Cena can't talk! In fact that is one of the reasons he gets such a reaction from the fans. His promos contain raw [no pun intended] emotion and that is one of the qualities you need to be a good talker. Now I want to go on record and say being a good talker is not everything. You must have the total package: Mic skills, Athletitism, and Charisma. I want to note that there are some but not a lot of people who have all of these qualities. Some of todays Superstars who have "it" are: Edge, John Cena, HHH, Shawn Michales, Mr. Kennedy, Ric Flair [of course], The Undertaker [even though he does not talk to much he without a doubt has the total package], and a few more I can't think of at this moment. Bottom Line: To be a great talker you have to captivate yor audience, make them hate you, make them love you, and most importantly tell them a story. I'm Junk and you have just been Blogged!

My Wrestlemania Weekend, And A Big Thanks To You Guys
Welcome one and all to another edition of Junk is Blogged! First off I want to thank whoever left the comment to change some things on my blog, I appreciate it and as you can see I have changed it. Can you read it now? Good! I just got back from Detroit for Wrestlemania weekend which was a weekend I will never forget. On Friday I saw the World premeire of Stone Cold Steve Austin's movie The Condemned, which is a very good movie, really violent and Austin is a really good actor. On Saturday I went to the Hall Of Fame Induction Ceremony which was truly a amazing night. Dusty Rhodes stole the show with his acceptance speech. Then it was time for the grandaddy of them all: Wrestlemania 23. So many memorable moments happened at Ford Feild that I can not even to begin to tell you all of them! Vince Mcmahon getting his head shaved bald, Donald Trump getting a Stone Cold Stunner, HBK and John Cena putting on one of the greatest wrestling matches in recent memory, Jeff Hardy's leap of faith on Edge in the Money in the Bank Ladder match, and of course The Undertaker defeating Batista to go 15-0 and become the new World Heavyweight Champion! It was a weekend I will never forget! I was glad to see Ashley get the crap kicked out of her by Melina at 'Mania, and am glad to see Ashley out of the Womens Title picture and Mickie James back in it. Thank you for your time and please leave some comments and give me some feedback! I would love to answer qustions you may have about Wrestling. Since I now have a few visitors I have a question for you: What is your favorite moment in WWE History {or wrestling in general} and why. Once again thanks for checking out my blog and tell a freind to check it out too. I'm Junk and you have been Blogged!
