Backlash Predictions

Hello wrestling fans, or all my Xbox Live freinds, and welcome to Junk Is Blogged: Backlash Predictions! First off I want to thank you all for stopping by my blog, my Wrestlemania XXIV predictions post was the most hits I have ever had so thank you all for checking my Blog out! Also; if you have the time, check out some of my old post which include: WWE's Greatest Talkers, Old PPV Predictions including last years Wrestlemania, A totally original WWE Storyline I created, and my opinion on Mike Adamle joining the ECW announce team. Please leave a comment if you read any of my post [including this one] so I can know how many people have visited! Now onto my 2008 WWE Backlash Predictions! Match #1: MVP vs. Matt Hardy For the United States Championship. I am really looking forward to this match! These two guys undoubtly had one of, if not the best rivalry of last year, and that's without barely wrestling a match! The few times we have seen these two wrestle, they have meshed very good together and have had very solid matches. I'm hoping this one kicks off the show! Junk's Prediction: MVP. The man who is "Better than You" has been U.S. Champ now for almost a year, and I do not see him losing it just yet. Plus this rivalry still has some juice in it, so why kill it already by letting Hardy win? Match #2: Big Show vs. The Great Khali. I'm not so sure about this match, and how good it will be. While big Show is very talented for his size, Great Khali just plain out sucks! He is worthless and should be thrown out, Fired! However I am interested in this match because of the Giant vs. Giant thing. Here's hoping Big Show carries the match! Junk's Prediction: Big Show. They already had Show job out to Floyd Mayweather at Mania, so they better make the right decision her and have Big Show win. How would it look if Khali won, when we all know Ric Flair said a month back that Show was the best Big man in the buisness? Match #3: Mickie James, Maria, Cherry, Michelle McCool, Kelly Kelly, and Ashley vs. Beth Pheonix, Layla, Victoria, Melina, Jillian, and Natalya. WOW that is a lot of Divas! Pretty much every Diva on the Roster! We all have our favorite Diva and mine just so happens to be the leader of one of these gigantic teams: Mickie James. This match could be pretty decent, there are some good wrestlers in her, and some bad; but I think this match will be pretty decent. To quote the great Joey Styles: CAT FIIIIGHT!!! Junk's Prediction: Beth Pheonix's team. Mickie won the title from Beth a couple weeks ago on RAW, then Mickie and her team got the upper hand on Beth and her team on last week's RAW. Therefore it is now Beth's turn. Match #4: Batista vs. Shawn michales: Chris Jericho is guest refferee. I'm calling SHOWSTEALER!!! Hey, I was right about Flair and michales being the showstealer, and I'm going to be right again. I am really enjoying this rivalry, and I hope this is'nt the only match we will see these two wrestle together! Adding Y2J in the mix was a fantastic idea! Should be a very, very good match! Junk's Prediction: Batista. I'm pretty sure either Jericho will screw HBK, or the Animal will win fair and square but I'm almost positive that Batista wins this one. Match #5: Kane vs. Chavo Guerrero For the ECW Championship. Hey everyone, look it's pretty much a Smackdown match! Kane [who apparently is on ECW] vs. Chavo [who also is apparently on ECW]. Despite the fact that I wish ECW would start having more original Superstars of their own like, CM Punk and Elijah Burke, this match should be a good one. I expect it to be way longer than there match at Mania. It's just too bad we have to hear Mike Adamle call it. Junk's Prediction: Kane. Since Chavo and his minions took out Kane on Tuesday's ECW, Kane will overcome the odds and retain. Although you never know,WWE usally does'nt let Kane win too much in a row. Match #6: The Undertaker vs. Edge For the World Heavyweight Championship. These two had a classic at Mania, and i'm hoping for another one this Sunday! Expect a really good, back and forth match. Junk's Prediction; The Undertaker. I heard a long time ago that Taker was promised a long title reign, and the only reason it did'nt happen last year is beacause of his injury. I'm pretty sure taker retains here. Randy orton vs. Triple H vs. JBL vs. john cena In a Fatal 4 Way Elimination Match For the WWE Championship. This one is going to be exciting! Last year's Backlash main event was a fatal 4 Way match also, and it was really good. I do not expect this to be any different! Who will be WWE Champion when Backlash goes off the air? Junk's Prediction: Randy Orton. Yes, I beleive the Legend Killer will continue his title reign. Only this time no one can say he won by luck like at Mania, because it is a elimination match. Yes Orton Fans rejoice, and Orton Haters [like myself] pout, because unfortuantly we are all living in The Age Of Orton. ECW:The New Breed of Dissapointment

Hello fellow bloggers! This edition of my blog has a very bitter and angry tone to it. As you probally already know WWE has replaced 1 half of their ECW lead announce team; Joey Styles, with former NFL announcer Mike Adamle. Now while Joey is not fired, he has been moved to manager of wwe.com. Okay, first things first they should have never taken Styles away from announcing on ECW! Joey has been the voice of ECW since the original and whether WWE wanted him to go work for their website or not, they should have kept him at the announce table also. And furthermore, they replace him with Mike Adamle. Adamle, a guy who has no experience announcing professional wrestling! And get this, Mike is reportedly being paid 300,00 dollars per year! This past week of ECW reminded me of why I get dissapointed with the brand. Firing the originals:Dissapointment. December to Dismember:Dissapointment. Firing Paul Heyman;Dissapointment. Putting Smackdown Superstars on the roster, when ECW needs to build there own roster instead of relying on the boys from Friday Nights:Dissapointment. Removing the voice of ECW from his announcing duties, and replacing him with Mike Adamle:Dissapointment. Unless ECW starts pushing people like Tommy Dreamer, instead of Mike Knox, Unless ECW just features brand exclusive Superstars except for special occasions, and unless WWE fires Mike Adamle, ECW will continue to be a:DISSAPOINTMENT!
